OSB 3 (Oriented Strand Board Grade 3) is a structural panel board manufactured for load-bearing use in humid conditions, making it one of the most widely specified sheet materials in UK construction. It is produced by bonding wood strands in cross-oriented layers under heat and pressure, resulting in a board with consistent structural performance and excellent resistance to moisture-related deterioration.

Conforming to BS EN 300, OSB3 is suitable for a broad range of structural applications including flooring, flat and pitched roof decking, wall sheathing, and hoarding. Its load-bearing capability in humid conditions distinguishes it from OSB2, which is rated for dry conditions only, and makes OSB3 the appropriate choice for most construction site and building envelope applications.
